Day Fifteen: Siargao Island – Scooter Pursuit to the North, Algeria Beach

A very slow morning start, very much feeling the effects from last nights fun. We changed hostel to the White House, extending our stay in Siargao We eventually got on the scooters and headed right to the Northern tip of Siargao to find the beach with the acclamation of being the most beautiful; Alegria Beach.

Possibly the hottest day yet, with the humidity almost unbearable. The scooters were a nice way to cool down. We stopped at Greg’s Restaurant for a pizza break, exactly what we needed, then on “Greg’s” advice went off the main road onto the local streets through lots of stunning farmland and rice fields, a nice change from the coast.

3 hours later, we arrived at Algeria; a beach meeting all expectations. With perfect white coral sands, calm seas and palm trees along the edge, where better to relax?

We were able to make it back to General Luna in under 2 hours following the coastal path. The journey just as good as the destination. Grabbed dinner at La Carinderia, an Italian Filipino fusion place, with great chicken abodo.
